In Union Hospital’s comprehensive, state-of-the-art outpatient therapy services, acute care and medical rehabilitation facilities, you will be a part of a therapy team providing advanced rehabilitation services for all ages in settings conducive to healing.
At Union Hospital Clinton, Therapeutics has recently moved into a new, expanded department. You will work with a team of therapists who consistently provide high quality services, both in the outpatient and acute care settings.
Sports Rehabilitation
You will provide care for athletes of all ages with an emphasis on a safe yet aggressive therapy program designed to promote healing and prevent further injury.
Pediatric Rehabilitation
You will work with a team of occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech-language pathologists to assist children with delays in functional skills, mobility and communication.

Industrial Rehabilitation - You will work with injured workers to return them to their previous functioning level as quickly and safely as possible. Services provided include:
- Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
- Work Conditioning
Lymphedema Therapy - You will provide individualized lymphedema management treatment to help patients control chronic swelling using manual lymph drainage techniques, compression bandaging, compression garments and a fitness program.
Aquatic Therapy - The facility is equipped with a SwimEx Therapy Pool and an Aquaciser underwater treadmill, to assist patients in reducing and controlling joint stress and pain.
Pelvic Floor Muscle Training - You will help patients improve bladder control and decrease chronic pelvic pain with pelvic floor muscle training, including muscle function analysis, education, exercise, electrical stimulation and biofeedback.
Occupational Therapy
Through our health and rehabilitation services, you will assist patients of all ages to regain and compensate for skills that are important for independent functioning. You will work with patients whose physical difficulties arise from:
- Acute / Chronic Illness or condition
- Arthritis

- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

- Neurological Disorders
- Peripheral Neuropathy

Massage therapy - Swedish massage, sports massage and reflexology are the types of therapeutic massage offered to help reduce pain and stress and speed patient recovery, as well as relieve swelling and improve the immune system.
Speech therapy - You will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders through individualized treatment plans. Types of disorders that benefit from this treatment are:
- Oral-Motor Disorders

Neurological Rehabilitation - You will be a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team that provides care for acute and chronic neurological disorders including:
