Respiratory

As a member of a Union Hospital respiratory care team, you will be challenged daily as you provide innovative therapies to surgical and trauma patients and outpatients. You will have the opportunity to attend high-risk deliveries and go on transports for the Neonatal Unit. In addition your work will include:

preventive post-operative lung expansion
maintenance of acute and chronic lung disease
management of ventilatory support
cardiopulmonary resuscitation
diagnostic testing
artificial airway insertion
broncho-pulmonary hygiene
administration of pharmacologic agents
application and monitoring of medical gases
Level III neonatal intensive care
patient and family education
involvement in ground and air transport
